The aim of our open events is to enable you to get the best advice about our provision and next steps.

Our events will support you in getting:

Tameside One Campus - Computing (HTQ and HND)

Beaufort Road Campus - Access to HE / Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Teacher Education (Cert Ed, PGCE, PrGCE / BA (Hons) in Education; Supporting Teaching and Learning

 

INTERVIEW EVENINGS

Interviews will be arranged once an application is received and processed.  All interview invites will be sent via email, so please ensure we have your correct details on your application form.  If, for any reason, you need to change your information then please email admission@tameside.ac.uk or call 0161 908 6649.

Access to HE

Face to face interviews will be carried out for Access to HE on the below dates:

Upon receipt of your application, you will receive an email to book your appointment for any of the above dates.  The interview evenings will involve:

  • Group presentation about Access to HE
  • Expectations and requirements
  • Collection of evidence from applicant
  • Brief 1-1 interview

Higher Education

Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Computing

Interviews for the above pathways will be carried out via telephone, between the time of 5.00pm and 7.30pm on each retrospective evening:

Upon receipt of your application, you will receive an email to with information about your appointment and what to expect.  If applying through UCAS, you'll receive the email and your application will be updated via the UCAS system.

Higher Education - Cert Ed, PGCE, PrGCE, BA (Hons) in Education (Supporting Teaching and Learning)

Interviews for the above pathways will be carried out face to face, at 5.00pm on each retrospective evening:

Upon receipt of your application, you will receive an email to with information about your appointment and what to expect.  If applying through UCAS, you'll receive the email and your application will be updated via the UCAS system.  The interview will take around 2 hours, and you will:

  • Be given a short presentation about the course, along with expectations / requirements
  • Have a quick 1-1 interview
  • Take part in a paired task, planning and delivering an activity (for Cert Ed, PGCE and PrGCE applicants only)
